Cardno Government Services is seeking a Branch Manager in our Jacksonville, Florida office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

> Executing local business development efforts, as part of a team, to include 1) identify potential new clients/projects, 2) develop strategies for winning new clients/projects, and 3) win new clients/projects to diversify Cardno’s client and services portfolio to support and grow our Jacksonville office
> Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating office operations
> Responsible for achieving office performance, productivity, and profitability goals

>Direct Client Engagement:
> The selected candidate will be the local “seller/doer” of Cardno’s Jacksonville office and as such, will be expected to have extensive direct client engagement, both in executing existing project work and in meeting/communicating with new future clients

>Business Development

> In coordination with client and practice area leaders:
> Develop new project sales under existing contract vehicles (for example, DoD indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contracts)
>> Plan and support local marketing activities
>Develop and execute state and local-level business development plans
>Develop winning relationships with local business partners (e.g., small businesses)
Cultivate a sustainable backlog

>Coordination and Supervision:
>Coordinate, lead, manage, monitor, and be responsible for the day-to-day workings of the office

>Financial:
>With assistance from existing Jacksonville office and corporate staff:
>Review various financial statements and data relevant to the office
>Report/provide input on projected staff utilization and project profitability
>Plan and implement effective strategies for the financial well-being of the office
>Work with Business Unit Manager to develop business improvement plans as necessary

>Human Resources:
>Identify and organize recruitment(s) and hiring of staff, as determined necessary
> Establish organizational structures
>Delegate tasks and accountabilities
>Establish staff work schedules
> Monitor adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures of Cardno

>Supervise Staff:
> Monitor, evaluate, and communicate performance to staff
> Maintain office staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results

>Production:
> Coordinate the efficient accomplishment of office work
> Monitor employee performance and implement improvements as needed
>Ensure quality and consistency of products
>Ensure maintenance of office equipment

>Communication:

>Provide timely communication of important instructions and policy guidance to staff
>Inform staff of changes or interpretation of laws, codes, programs, policies, or procedures

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

> BS/BA Degree
>Contacts with Florida state, city/county, education, industrial/commercial, and federal entities
>Proven track record as a high performer who can self-motivate to get results
>Ability to exercise professional discretion and judgement

>Training and Experience
>Experience in management/leadership positions and training/mentoring staff
>Strong Customer Service orientation
>Commitment to Cardno Values
