Cardno is seeking a Geophysics Practice Lead in our Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania office.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

> Responsible for the effective and profitable operation of “advanced” geophysical technologies within the UES Area. These “Advanced” technologies would be those none standard technologies used for Utility Investigations including but not limited to Multi-Channel GPR, EM31, EM61, and other technologies that may be used for non-utility related investigations including but not limited to borehole, seismic, resistivity, etc.
> Provide Leadership for professional staff (Project Managers, Professional Geologists and Field/Office Technicians)
> Lead and direct process improvement initiatives and development of standard operating procedures for geophysics operations
> Coordinate and conduct training as required for professional personnel
> Assure that Geophysics group deliver quality field work to all clients
> Lead and provide oversight to PG professional and technical activities (licensures, certifications, professional memberships, etc.)
> Assure that Department remains at leading edge of technology and innovation for Geophysics
> Assure achievement of Geophysics Practice goals for sales, revenue, profit
> Assure that all Branch Offices offering geophysical services deliver quality work products to all clients
> Work with Branch Managers to focus special attention on “Strategic Clients” identified in each Region and make sure that they are “Delighted Clients”
> Lead and provide oversight to and industry steering and technical presentations or technical papers presented by Cardno UES Personnel
> Assure that Regions operational and business processes are being utilized and continuously improved
> Work with all levels of UES Leadership on growth initiatives
> Responsible for PG’s and Technicians
> Normal office environment with regular field site visits. Occasional and sometimes frequent overnight travel may be required

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

> Professionally licensed in geology/geophysics. 5-10
years professional work experience in a geophysics or a related field
