Job Description

Cardno is seeking a Landscape Restoration Field Technician in our Cincinnati, Ohio office, to implement project work in the landscape and restoration management fields. Projects will involve field labor, technical work, and/or supervision of labor crews. A typical work day consists of an 8-10 hour day although, in accordance with the requirements of specific assignments, may include irregular hours. Position may also require overnight travel.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

> Implementing landscape and restoration project work at the ground level under the direction of a Field Supervisor and/or Project Manager
> Native planting, seeding, erosion control installation, landscaping, tree planting, herbicide application, prescribed fire or any other activities necessary with field implementation of ecological restoration projects
> Technicians will be required to spend up to 1-4 nights per week out of town working at remote locations
> Adhering to corporate policies, operate through the proper management channels, and act in the best interest of firm

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

> Technicians will be required to obtain Commercial Pesticide Applicator's License
> Valid Driver's License
> Standard First Aid, CPR

Desired Qualifications:

> Experience operating equipment such as tractors, ATVs, chainsaws, and/ or skidsteers
> Ability to travel overnight for 1-4 days out of town
>
Experience with herbicide handling and application
> Experience in native and invasive species plant identification and/ or restoration techniques
> Operating a Global Positioning System – no previous experience required, but any experience a plus
