Job Description

Cardno’s Infrastructure Division is looking to add an experienced and motivated Survey Project Manager within the local Utility, Engineering & Survey department in the Atlanta, GA office. We are seeking a hands-on leader, willing to mentor and empower team members to creatively develop solutions for our clients and their projects. The Project Manager will work closely with clients and the design teams to coordinate the completion of projects for a variety of clients including Transit, Municipal and DOT.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

> Provides overall management and direction for existing and new Survey and SUE projects
> Interfaces with clients to obtain and complete work
> Reviews and approves calculations submittals, specifications and other submittals
> Reviews invoices and prepares/reviews progress reports to client
> Oversees field personnel and office staff assigned in the branch office
> Initiates, prepares, reviews, and participates in proposals, rate & staff hour estimate preparation, negotiations, prepares work plans, assembles project team, delegates tasks and ensures compliance with scope and timely completion of tasks
> Participates in interviews and presentations. Reviews and manages client contracts
> Responsible for accuracy, timeliness, and financial performance of assigned projects
> Establishes and maintains quality assurance plans and safety plans for assigned projects
> Oversees all QA/QC functions to ensure accurate and high quality deliverables to clients
> Participates in the yearly Budget Forecast development, monthly operating review meetings and assists the Branch Manager in setting and meeting the financial performance goals of the branch office


Job Requirements

Qualifications:

> Experience in leadership, project management, and staff supervision is required
> Professionally licensed in land surveying in the state of Georgia or ability to obtain license within 3 months
> Professionally licensed in land surveying in Tennessee a plus
> Must have strong written and oral communication, supervisory and mentoring, attention to details and accuracy, planning, decision making, problem solving
> Preferred MicroStation, In-Roads, GEOPAK, AutoCAD / Civil 3D knowledge
> Normal office environment with occasional field site visits for progress review and quality control or estimating new work and be able to travel out of town overnight for project assignments
