Job Description

Cardno is seeking a Senior Architectural Historian to join our Cultural Resources Group. The ideal candidate will join our cultural resources team in our Riverview, FL office. We will consider applicants to work from our Atlanta, GA or Raleigh, NC offices.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

> Project-specific management of budget, staff, and schedules
> Developing and enhancing the practice by identifying new work and clients
> Completion of architectural / historical surveys and documentation
> Preparation and editing of technical reports
> Coordination with local, state, and federal agencies, and mentoring of junior-level staff

Job Requirements


> Minimum 5-10 years of professional experience in cultural resource management or historic preservation, primarily in the southeastern US and preferably in Florida and/or Georgia
> Satisfaction of the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualification Standards for Architectural History and/or History
> Familiarity with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation and the National Register of Historic Places
> Experienced with historic structure documentation
> Federal, state, and local preservation standards and procedures; and historic tax credits and exemptions
> The successful applicant will have strong writing, interpersonal and organizational skills
