Job Description

Cardno is seeking a Sr. Hydrogeologist or Engineer in our Riverview, FL office. The candidate would support a broad array of complex projects involving water supply planning, aquifer storage and recovery, deep well injection, wellfield development, groundwater modeling studies and a broad array of interesting natural resource and water resource management, energy, and permitting projects for public and private sector clients. Other duties would include supporting, on a limited basis, business development activities that could include presenting technical information at meetings with potential clients and proposal development.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

> Provide high-level technical support of complex projects
> Foster the local establishment and positive reputation of the Cardno brand, both internally and externally
> Support expansion of Cardno’s groundwater development and water supply planning practice in Florida
> Support business development activities including presenting technical information at meetings with potential clients and proposal development

Job Requirements


> B.S. or M.S. in hydrogeology, hydrology, geology, or engineering
> Fifteen or more years of experience in the water supply, water well, deep injection well, or oil/gas industry including field operations
> Thorough understanding of groundwater resource management and development issues
> Ability to understand numerical models to simulate ground water movement, regional and local production and injection impacts, and movement of fresh water in saline or brackish water aquifers
> Experience in designing and analyzing reservoir/aquifer performance tests
> Project management experience sufficient to oversee a project from initiation to completion

> Ability to work well independently and with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, team oriented work environment
> Solid time management and follow-through skills, with the ability to simultaneously work on and manage multiple tasks/projects with tight deadlines
> Highly motivated with a strong sense of initiative
